(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Yuba County Sheriff’s office reports 27-year-old Mike Collier of Linda has been arrested for murder.

Collier was brought in for questioning Saturday, after deputies responded just after midnight to a physical disturbance call at 1129 North Beale Road. There, officers encountered a stabbing victim. Lifesaving measures were unsuccessful.

A release from the YCSO reports: “After reviewing security footage, detectives were able to identify the suspect as 27-year-old Michael Collier of Linda. Collier was brought into the Sheriff’s Department for questioning and subsequently arrested for homicide. Collier was booked at the Yuba County Jail.”

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
