(Gridley, CA) – In Butte County Court yesterday, Michelle Solis, the former Gridley Middle School teacher convicted of having sex with a student had her sentencing hearing delayed for a second time. According to Action News, the judge “reprimanded Solis” and ordered her to be taken into custody to be held at the Butte County Jail. She will remain there until the next scheduled sentencing, July 18th.
As was the case with the first granted delay requested by the defense, they’re awaiting the results of a psychology assessment of Solis. She faces up to four years in jail.
