(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – Encouraging local economic news as the Employment Development Department reports Yuba-Sutter’s unemployment rate of 7% last month. That’s down significantly from April’s 8.2% and slightly below last May at 7.1%.

Individually, the May unemployment rate in Sutter County this year is 7.6%, while Yuba County is somewhat lower at 6.1%.

The state rate last month was 4.5% while the national rate was 3.7%.
