(Palermo, CA) — Mandatory evacuation orders are in place due to a fast-moving grass fire in Butte County. The Apache Fire, first reported at about 7:20 Monday night, has burned 650 acres of land in the community of Palermo.

The fire has also caused two spot fires, burning a combined 50 acres of land. The Apache Fire is just one percent contained.
