(Sacramento, CA) — California is making it easier for residents to access the DMV by bringing more services online. Starting June 3rd, the Department of Motor Vehicles will offer simple vehicle registration and driver’s license renewals that don’t require an in-person visit online and at self-serve kiosks at both DMV offices and retail locations, like grocery stores.
Other services that will be available include requests for copies of vehicle registration and driver’s license records, as well as replacing a lost or stolen license or ID. The DMV says these actions will reduce office visits by up to 200-thousand customers a month.
