(Glenn County, CA) – A wildfire in Glenn County yesterday afternoon just south of Hamilton City grew to 10 acres, prompting an evacuation order. No structures “of significance” were damaged or destroyed, according to Action News, and no injuries have been reported.

The cause was determined to be embers still smoldering from a backyard debris burn Sunday, which was fanned back to life by yesterday’s gusty north winds.

It is unclear if the debris burner will face legal, and/or, financial consequences.
