(Arbuckle, CA) – An Arbuckle crop duster pilot has been killed in a crash in Modoc County.

69-year-old Peter Spyres, of Arbuckle, was with Jones Flying Service out of Biggs. His aircraft crashed at around 2:45 yesterday afternoon between the towns of Alturas and Likely in the northeast corner of California, near the Nevada border.

The accident is under investigation by the FAA and NTSB.
