(Plumas County, CA) — The United States Geological Survey says two earthquakes hit about four miles from Belden in the Feather River Canyon and were felt as far away as Yuba City.

The first one reported by the USGS hit at about 6:30 p.m., and it was a 4.5-magnitude earthquake. Then, about 20 seconds later, a 4.3-magnitude earthquake hit.

There were no reports of damage or injuries due to the quakes.
