(Sacramento, CA) — California’s new 20-dollar an hour minimum wage for fast food workers is set to start today Democrats in the state Legislature passed the law last year saying, more than a half-million workers are not teenagers earning some spending money.

The law was supported by the trade association representing fast food franchise owners.
