(Sacramento, CA) — The Sacramento Valley, including the Yuba-Sutter area, will be under a wind advisory from five o’clock this afternoon to five o’clock Friday afternoon. Winds of 25 to 35-miles-per-hour coming out of the north and northeast are expected, with gusts of up to 45-miles-per-hour possible.
The National Weather Service says that’s strong enough to knock down tree limbs, uproot weakened trees, and cause power outages.
A high wind watch will also be in place for the mountains through early Friday. Mountain communities are bracing for gusts between 55 and 70-miles-per-hour.
