(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Yuba Water Agency has issued a press release informing that they are committing “up to $360,000 over two years on an improved levee monitoring system, in partnership with the Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society and the Banatao Institute.
The system deploys ‘advanced sensing technologies” at eight levee sites to “enhance monitoring capabilities” and manage the “life expectancy” of the levees, advancing flood risk reduction efforts.
