(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – Preliminary investigation of a single vehicle fatal rollover crash in South Sutter County reportedly indicates the driver was headed west on Nicolaus Avenue near Marcum Road at 7:23 Wednesday morning and “drove through standing water, lost control and overturned off the north roadway edge” according to The Appeal-Democrat, citing the CHP Auburn office.

Why CHP Auburn was involved in a South Sutter County accident is not explained.

The paper also reports “a request from the Placer County Sheriff’s office for the identity of the driver was not answered as of press time Thursday.”

Again, there is no explanation as to why Placer County law enforcement was involved in a Sutter County incident.
