(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – DWR yesterday increased releases out of Lake Oroville to create flood storage space, with significant rainfall forecast through early next week. They began releasing 17 cfs (cubic feet per second) as of last evening. As a result, our local rivers are rising but will still remain well below monitor stage, let alone flood stage.

The Feather River at Yuba City is forecast to rise to just over 44 feet by this evening, 20 feet below flood monitor stage, 36 feet under flood stage.

The Yuba River at Marysville is forecast to rise to just over 62 feet by this evening, 12 feet below monitor stage and 25 feet below flood stage.

The Sacramento River at Colusa is forecast to rise to 65 feet by late tomorrow morning, 2 feet above monitor stage, but 5 feet below flood stage.
