(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Marysville Police Department reports the arrest of a Yuba City man for the alleged kidnapping of a Marysville woman.

Officers responded late Sunday afternoon to emergency calls of a possible kidnapping and a suspect holding a woman against her will. This was in the 1200 block of B Street. Officers were able to track a phone to a vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on the north side of the levee on Jack Slough Road.

57-year-old Rubin Carrasquillo of the 1400 block of Hayne Avenue in Yuba City is accused of assaulting and forcing the victim into his vehicle and was attempting to take her to Texas, according to an MPD press release, which add that the two “are known to each other.”
