(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Sutter County Sheriff’s office has reportedly responded to social media rumors that a Sutter High School teacher was “suspended” for alleged inappropriate contact with a minor at the school according to The Appeal-Democrat.
The paper reports the allegations were denied in emails to them yesterday, from both the Sutter County’s Sheriff’s office and the Superintendent and Principal, who called the posts “reckless and defamatory,” while a sheriff’s office official emailed the publication: “There was no arrest made…allegations were determined to be false. No further information is to be shared at this time.”
The paper also reports the Superintendent and Principal “did not confirm or deny whether the teacher was placed on administrative leave or if they are still employed at Sutter Union High School.”
