(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – An investigation by the Sutter County Sheriff’s detectives into the January 5th assault of a Meridian resident in the 1100 block of Third Street in Meridian, has resulted in three arrests. According to a SCSO release, “the victim suffered major injuries and was life flighted to the UC Davis Medical Center.”

The release reports that “after the incident, the Sutter County Investigations Unit conducted follow-up which led to the identity of the three suspects. On January 10, 2024, numerous search warrants were authorized and executed, which led to the apprehension of 23-year-old Jovani Campos-Figueroa, 24-year-old Nina Leal, and 23-year-old Robert Leal.  All three subjects were arrested and booked for Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Battery with Serious Bodily Injury, Mayhem, and Violation of Probation.”

All three suspects are Meridian residents.

Bail is set at $100,000 and all three are scheduled for their first court appearance today.
