(Marysville, CA) – As expected, although not without several months of discussion and debate according to The Appeal-Democrat, the Marysville City Council ultimately voted unanimously in favor of a new change to the municipal parking code for portions of downtown. The changes are taking place with the hope that it will “spur economic development.”
The new ordinance removes the previous requirement that there be 1.5 parking spaces per residential or hotel unit. The change applies only to “most of D, C & B Streets from about 1st to 9th Streets, according to the paper.
