(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – Two major water improvement projects that began several years ago are now complete.
In Yuba County, the 5 year, 157 acre multi-benefit habitat restoration of the lower Yuba River at Hallwood, and in South Butte County, the 6 year, Gray Lodge Water Supply Improvement Project.
The Hallwood Project includes nearly 2 miles of restored side channels & alcoves along the main river channel and more than 6 miles of season flood plain restoration. That is designed specifically to boost salmon & steelhead populations.
The Gray Lodge Project included ensuring a secure water supply by upgrading 5.5 miles of channels that provide water from the Thermolito After Bay.
