(Sacramento, CA) — New reports show violent crime has dropped in Sacramento, despite recent FBI data revealing a spike across the state. Aggravated assaults decreased by over twenty-percent, robbery by six-percent, and homicide and rape by around forty-percent from January to September.
Police Chief Kathy Lester says the eighteen-percent decline is attributed to data-driven strategies, community partnerships, and a Violent Crime Reduction Strategy implemented last year.
