(Willows, CA) – With a midnight deadline last night, the Willows City Council met in a closed door session yesterday and came up with a $1,285,000 deal with the Glenn County Sheriff’s Department to provide full law enforcement services within the city limits through the end of the year.

They’ve also begun plans to reopen the City of Willows Police Department.

The Glenn County Sheriff has issued a press release Sunday announcing that with the exception of responding to active felonies in progress, his office would no longer be providing law enforcement services within the Willows City Limits, as they have since July, at an unreimbursed cost of $700,000 to the county.
