(Willows, CA) – Saying “The sheriff’s office cannot continue to shoulder the cost of city services without adequate funding from the city,” a press release issued by the Glenn County Sheriff’s office adds that “routine law enforcement” within the Willows City Limits will cease as of midnight tonight.
Although GCSO will continue to provide dispatch service to residents of Willows, they’ll respond only to felonies in progress.
The Glenn county sheriff’s office has been providing law enforcement services within the Willows City Limits since July without a contract at an estimated, un-reimbursed cost of $700,000.
