(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – With the arrival of September, fall is already in the air around Yuba-Sutter, as strong winds, a chance of rain and much cooler temperatures arrive in our area, starting today.
The National Weather Service predicts the high today (Friday) will be almost 20 degrees cooler that just yesterday, topping out at a mere 73 degrees this afternoon. As well, a chance of rain is ongoing thru tomorrow, ranging from 50% today to 40% tomorrow. A Flash Flood Watch also takes effect later today.
String winds are also in the forecast, with gusts up to 26 m.p.h. today and continuing tonight.
Sunny skies are forecast for later tomorrow and the remainder of the Holiday Weekend, but a 20% chance of rain remains in effect until early Sunday morning. And highs – even with a return to sunshine – will be only in the upper 70s Saturday and Sunday, but back into the mid-to-upper 80s on Monday, Labor Day.
