(Colusa County, CA) – The Colusa Mosquito Abatement District is confirming that test results returned from UC Davis have come back positive for West Nile virus in two mosquito samples and a sentinel chicken. The samples were collected 11 days ago.

No human cases are reported in Colusa County but they are in Yuba, Sutter & Butte Counties. As well, both Sacramento and Yolo Counties have now reported a human death connected to West Nile virus.
