(Nevada County, CA) — The Highway Fire in Nevada County continues to burn. The USFS-Tahoe National Forest says the fire is 35 acres in size and ten-percent contained. Evacuation orders near the fire are still in place.

The fire started Wednesday near the community of Washington, about 80 miles Northeast of Sacramento.
