(Sacramento, CA) — A federal judge is extending the order that prevents the city of Sacramento from clearing homeless encampments due to the heat. The order was first issued on August 3rd and has been extended until the end of August. City officials are not allowed to clear encampments because of extreme heat.

The city has the option of enforcing a rule to have at least four feet of space on sidewalks between homeless encampments and people walking by.
