(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – Recology has been recognized with a national award for its state of the art compost operation in Wheatland, receiving the National Waste and Recycling Association’s Organics Management Facility of the Year award.

The compost created at Recology Ostrom Organics is approved for use on organic soil and the award was presented for Recology Yuba-Sutter’s “Efforts in leading the industry in diverting compostable materials from landfills” according to the announcement.

Recology Ostrom Organics has processed 136,000 tons of compostable material since opening in November of 2020.
