(Hampton Roads, VA) – The Navy Office of Community Outreach tells us that Petty Officer 2^nd Class Taylor Hughes, a 2018 graduate of River Valley High School, has received a certificate of exemplary service from the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce in Norfolk Virginia.

Officer Hughes, Commander Navy Region Mid Atlantic Administrative Department leading Petty Officer was recognized for comprehensive review, processing, correspondence and personnel requests. Also, as Directives Manager, she’s been instrumental in the creation and tracking & routing of all command instructions & notices resulting in policies and procedures being readily available to personnel across 14 installations.

Hughes said of the award, “to be recognized not only by my chain of command, but by the city of Norfolk is the greatest honor I have ever been given.”
