(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – Yuba City Police Lt. Michael Brazil has provided KUBA with an update on the investigation into the multiple, non-fatal shooting which occurred just after midnight, July 22nd in downtown Yuba City. The shooter is identified as 40-year-old Lovedeepal Bains.

An arrest warrant has been issued, however, he has yet to be located.

Officers initially responded to the 700 block of Plumas Street to numerous calls reporting a fight that reportedly began inside the Happy Viking. That altercation involved eight people, during which, Bains pulled a gun from his waistband. The fight stopped, but eventually resumed on the street and Bains allegedly fired three shots and ran.

None of the victims sustained life-threatening wounds according to a news release.
