(Paradise, CA) – The Paradise Police Department reports three arrests yesterday on charges of child abuse.
An incident began at Lake Oroville where Nathan Wainscoat of Paradise reportedly took a child without the parents permission to an undisclosed Paradise residence. The child’s parents chased Wainscoat and an altercation ensued between the parents, Wainscoat and Nathaniel Nelson.
Due to the child being “placed in a position where they were likely to suffer significant bodily injury,” BCS was called “to intervene in the care and custody of multiple juvenile children.”
Wainscoat was arrested for kidnapping, child abuse, assault with a deadly weapon and terrorist threats. Tori Kelly was arrested for child abuse, assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism.
