(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Yuba City Police Department reports the arrest of a 19-year-old on DUI & evading charges.

His arrest comes after what is described as a slow-speed pursuit, just before 8:00 last Saturday night, when rookie Officer Baca observed the driver “swerving all over the roadway.” Suspecting DUI, the officer attempted a traffic stop near Bridge & Gray, however, the driver proceeded on. Moving slowly, he eventually pulled over at Palm Avenue and Pine Way.

A press release does not give the suspect’s identity, but does note it was officer Baca’s “very first traffic stop.”
