(Sacramento, CA) – In Federal Court in Sacramento, 29-year-old Billy Sims of Yuba City has been indicted on charges of dealing firearms without a license, being a felon in possession of firearms & ammunition and selling ammunition to a prohibited person.
A press release from the Eastern District of California’s U.S. Attorney’s office reports that between April 1st of last year and March 9th of this year, in Yuba, Sutter & Yolo Counties, Sims dealt in firearms without a license and was prohibited from possessing them due to his prior felony convictions for domestic violence and burglary.
He faces a maximum of 30 years in federal prison and upwards of ¾ of a million dollars in fines if convicted.
