(Davis, CA) — A former UC Davis student accused of two deadly stabbings and injuring a third person is facing a criminal trial after questions about his competency. A doctor concluded the 21-year-old suspect is not competent to stand trial but the district attorney disagreed.

A jury is set to decide next month if he is competent to move forward with a criminal trial.
