(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – Kynoch Elementary School has become the first in the Marysville School District to be Blue Zones project approved.

The school was selected for excelling in Blue Zone best practices, such as the school garden & garden club, the Kynoch Community Event held every Wednesday morning, special recognition for the students positive behavior, physical activity both in and out of the classroom, Kynoch’s nutritional education – specifically the fresh fruit & vegetable program, the kitchen layout and staff’s healthy, unique and fresh menu options, creative fundraising & family events and participation in the district’s Farm to School Program.
