(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Sites Reservoir Project has taken another step toward becoming a reality with the State Water Resources Control Board recently informing the Project Authority that the reservoir’s water rights application is complete. This clears the way to take the next step toward obtaining an actual water rights permit that gives the Sites Project Authority the “legal authorization to divert water” according to a statement from the Authority’s Executive Director.

The permit could be granted as soon as this September following a 60 day public review period, now underway.
