(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Sutter County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest Sunday night of a violent felon.

The man, whose name is not provided in a press release, was wanted by the Yuba City Police Department for “multiple violent felonies at an address on Creswell Drive.” He had contacted his ex-girlfriend by phone, telling her “he was in the area.” He had recently fired shots at her residence.

A deputy spotted the man riding a bicycle north on Plumas Street toward Bridge Street, with him  ditching the bike when he saw the squad car. He then “began jumping fences near Bridge Street School. A perimeter was set up and a night vision drone located him in a backyard in the 500 block of B Street.

He refused to come out, so K9 Jar was released and located the suspect in a backyard shed at which time he was taken into custody.
