(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – Caltrans is providing an update on slide removal work on HWY 70 through the Feather River Canyon. While it remains closed between the Greenville Wye & Jarbo Gap, there are 3 opening times daily: 6:30 and 11:30 in the morning and 5:30 in the afternoon.
The closure is approximately 50 miles long and it’s taking motorists around an hour-an-a-half to get through.
Additionally, Cal Fire is beginning work within the closure, near Cresta. That will start this month through July and will create delays of up to 3 hours for rock blasting operations on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8-11 in the morning.
