(Chico, CA) — A 17-year-old girl is dead and five other people are wounded following a shooting at a party near California State University Chico. Family members and a GoFundMe page identify the girl who was killed as an Oroville resident.

The shooting happened at an apartment building early Saturday morning. The surviving victims are between the ages of 17 and 21.

Police were called to the same address about a half hour before the shooting and arrested a person on suspicion of brandishing a gun.
