(Yuba-Sutter, CA) — After a few warm, spring-like weeks the weather is taking a step back in time a few months in Northern California. Rain, snow and thunderstorms are all possible this week. The greatest chance for rain in the Sacramento Valley will be today, with up to a quarter-inch of rain expected to accumulate from scattered showers. The foothills could get up to an inch of rain.
The snow level is expected to start at about five to six-thousand-feet, which is relatively low for the month of May. Up to a foot of snow is expected in the Sierra.
Downtown Sacramento reached 93 degrees last Thursday. But, for the next three days, highs are expected to be in the 60s and low 70s.
