(Sacramento, CA) — State lawmakers are promising to protect reproductive rights in California.
This comes just as the U.S. Supreme Court will decide on the availability of an abortion drug today. Governor Gavin Newsom and other legislators gathered Tuesday at the state Capitol to announce bills that will protect a person’s access to reproductive care.
A news release says one bill will protect pharmacists who distribute abortion pill mifepristone, even if the high court suspends the drug’s FDA approval.
