(Sacramento, CA) — Sacramento State officials are condemning a staff member who reportedly did a Nazi salute while recording a student podcast. University President Robert Nelsen and Associated Students Incorporated President Salma Pacheco spoke out against the staff member on Monday, and also apologized for their delayed response.

The staff member reportedly did a Nazi salute while several students were recording a podcast about World War Two in February. The State Hornet, the university’s student newspaper, didn’t report the incident until last Thursday.

The staff member performed the Nazi salute after a student made a reference to Adolf Hitler.
