(Release from Sutter Community Church) — With a heavy hearts, the Sutter Buttes Cross Committee have announced the cancellation of our “103rd Sutter Buttes Easter Sunrise Service.”

The cancellation is due to weather related conditions on the hill caused by the constant, heavy rains this winter. Our first and foremost concern is for the safety and well-being of our community.

We look forward to worshiping with you around the Sutter Buttes Cross next Easter 2024!

An option is the long-running is attending the Easter Sunrise Service at Ellis Lake in Marysville on the gazebo island. The service starts at 6:30 a.m. on Easter Sunday, April 9th. Should weather be a problem, the service will be moved to the Faith Lutheran Church in Marysville.
