(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Yuba County Office of Emergency Services has issued a weather advisory for today’s storm, saying snow levels “will dip into portions of (the) upper foothills” and “in some cases we anticipate two feet or more.” The advisory goes on to warn residents to “plan now” for the possibility of getting snowed in and losing power, and also, reminding that the county “does not plow gravel roads nor…private roads.”
On the valley floor you may see some localized flooding, however YCOES notes” reservoirs have maintained plenty of flood storage capacity and the levee districts report our flood protection measures look strong.”
