(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Yuba County District Attorney’s office has successfully opposed parole for one convicted Yuba County sex offender, and had another’s parole revoked, and returned him to prison.
Jason Young was convicted eight years ago, in 2015, for crimes involving a victim 10-year-old or younger, and sentenced to 15 to life. A Deputy D.A. successfully argued against paroling him at a hearing last Friday.
Meanwhile, Leonard Petty Jr. was convicted eleven years ago for continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14, and sentenced to 12 years. He was released on parole in September 2021. However, last October his parole was revoked and he was sent back to prison for falsifying his sex offender registration and living in the same residence as a woman with underage children.
