(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Department of Water Resources began reducing outflow from Lake Oroville late yesterday afternoon, from the 35,000 cubic feet per second level, by around 5,000 cfs.
The lake was at 29,347 as of this morning, about 5,000 cfs more than inflow, with the lake level at just over 856 feet, down about a foot in the last 24 hours, to 82% of capacity.
The Feather River at Yuba City is forecast to recede to 51.3 feet by noon today, 12.7 feet below monitor stage and 28.2 feet below flood stage.
The Yuba River at Marysville is forecast to fluctuate near 69 feet through this afternoon, 5 feet below monitor stage, 18 feet below flood stage.
The Sacramento River at Colusa is forecast to rise to 63.2 feet by late this morning, a couple of inches above monitor stage. It will then recede about a foot below monitor stage by noon tomorrow.
