(Sacramento, CA) — At least a foot of snow is expected to fall in Sierra mountain passes today. A winter weather advisory will be in effect for the Sierra between 5 p.m. today and 5 p.m. Wednesday. The snow level might drop as low as 35-hundred-feet.
Forecasters are calling for several feet of snow at the higher elevations.
The Sacramento Valley will likely get a half-inch to three-quarters of an inch of rain today. The foothills could get an inch to an inch-and-a-half of rain.
