(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – The Sutter County Sheriff’s office has again issued a mandatory evacuation order specific to residents of the Lovely’s Landing commercial trailer park. This is due to the Sacramento River rising above 65 feet, the historic elevation that causes the park to flood.
Sheriff’s deputies began notifying Lovely’s Landing residents of this likely eventuality last week, assisting with temporary relocation efforts.
It is worth noting that current Sacramento River levels are due primarily to rain run-off. The Department of Water Resources is releasing very little out of Lake Shasta, just 25 cubic feet per second as of 1:00 this morning, with plenty of flood storage space available at 68% of capacity.
