(Sacramento, CA) — Over half of California is under a local state of emergency due to the recent atmospheric river. California Office of Emergency said 40 of the state’s 58 counties have declared a state of emergency. It’s the 11th atmospheric river to hit the state this year. It caused heavy rain, strong, winds, and flooding yesterday.
The office is coordinating the emergency response with the National Guard, CHP, Cal Fire, and other state agencies.
