(Yuba-Sutter, CA) — Another atmospheric river-fueled storm is expected to pound the Sacramento region today, with the heaviest rain and snow falling this morning. Forecasters are calling for one to two inches of rain in the valleys, and three to five inches of rain in the foothills through this afternoon. T
he snow level should stay at about 65-hundred to 75-hundred-feet.
The higher elevation mountain passes like Donner and Echo Summits could get another two to three feet of snow by Wednesday morning. Wind gusts as strong as 40 to 50-miles-per-hour are also expected today.
