(NorCal, CA) – The Department of Water Resources issued an update on releases from Lake Oroville for flood control protection, reporting that Saturday evening release totals from the spillway were slightly increased, from 8,000 cubic feet per second to 8,500.

Combined with the maximum 6,500 cfs possible through the Hyatt Power Plant, that’ s a total release into the Feather River of 15,000 cfs.

A check of DWR’s hourly data at the Oroville Dam indicates total outflow at 14,707 cfs (as of 1:00am) and inflow at 27,538.
