(Yuba-Sutter, CA) – Our rivers are rising as increased releases from local reservoirs is now under way.
The Yuba Water Agency began releasing 5,000 cubic feet per second from New Bullards Bar yesterday and say they’ll hold as that level for now, “and adjust accordingly as the storm’s impact becomes more clear.”
DWR has also increased releases through the Hyatt Power Plant to 3,570 cfs, up about 2,500 from Tuesday.
The State River Forecast Center predicts a 13-foot rise in the Feather River at the 5th Street Bridge, “far below monitoring stage” but pointing out, “could surprise anglers and those living along the river.”
